Jan ( Bleu) Stother
Jan is an experienced leader of groups both on the hill and off it, qualified with the Climbing Wall Award as well as working towards the Mountain Leader (Summer) and Single Pitch Award, she has over 10 Years experience of working as an outdoor Leader.Her extensive experience of the voluntary sector as a Scout Leader and Assistant County Commissioner has given her experience of running expeditions and assessments for both Scouting awards and the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s award scheme, in which she has passed the Expedition Supervisor Course and is a qualified Expedition Assessor to Gold Level.She is also a keen Kayaker who holds the Swim Safety Lifeguard award and is qualified as both a Powerboat and Bellboat Helm.
Her other skills include being an Archery GB Instructor and a National Small-bore Rifle Association Young Persons Tutor for Air rifles and Air Pistols.
During her time with Scouts she has become a keen practitioner of Bushcraft and has run several courses to teach basic Bushcraft skills
Bob ( Fish) Aspland
A Qualified Mountain Leader ( Summer) and also a holder of the Climbing Wall Award, Bob has been climbing mountains since his childhood. With both a Scouting and a Military background Bob has extensive experience of running groups in Mountains , Expeditions , both in the UK and abroad and passing on the skills required to survive and thrive in upland environments. Bob handles the Navigation training for BleuFish and has qualified as a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expedition Supervisor and Gold Expedition Assessor. Bob also assesses Mountain Leaders for the Scout Association in Greater Manchester.
He too is a keen Kayaker and holding qualifications as a Swim Safety Lifeguard and a Powerboat and Bellboat Helm. He also holds an Archery GB Instructor Award.
